Biography
Max received his BSc from University of Toronto with a High Distinction in 2020, double-majored in Statistics and Mathematical Application in Economics and Finance. He then graduated from University of Oxford and achieved an MSc in Statistical Science in 2021. His MSc dissertation, co-supervised by Prof Mihaela van der Schaar (University of Cambridge) and Prof Mihai Cucuringu (University of Oxford), was a proposal of a Bayesian Inverse Reinforcement Learning model applied to sequential clinical decision-making problems. His research interest lies on development of statistical machine learning algorithms and deep learning methodologies, as well as the corresponding applications in the field of finance, engineering and clinical science.
